Can You Help?

The Western Australian government has now released its report into end-of-life choices.  Euthanasia and assisted suicide advocates, unhappy with their recent loss in federal Parliament, will now focus on a campaign for legalised killing in WA.

Can you help us hold the line in Western Australia?

Your gift will help us educate WA Members of Parliament into the dangers of euthanasia and assisted suicide.  We know that votes changed in Canberra because of our campaign.  By just two votes, the federal Senate refused to pave the way for euthanasia and assisted suicide to become legal in the territories.

With your help, we were able to:

  • Arrange for medical experts Dr Stephen Parnis and Dr John Daffy to brief Senators in Canberra ahead of the crucial vote;
  • Provide hard-copy briefing packs to every Senator, drawing their attention to key risks of legalising euthanasia and assisted suicide;
  • Pay for targeted online advertising to raise awareness about the dangerous of legalising euthanasia.

Our campaign made all the difference, with 36 senators to 34 voting against the bill.

This is a significant victory, however the margin was far too small.  So, we need to continue our fight.

Can you help? Your best gift today will help us continue the fight in WA, telling WA parliamentarians that we can and must do better for vulnerable Australians.
